What we look for

Talks about AI as it is built and used: what worked, what did not, and what you learned on the way. Most of the audience work hands-on with AI: in 2026, 70% of attendees worked as practitioners. Others are researchers, students, and people starting to use AI in their organisation. Tell us who your talk is for: everyone, practitioners, or the participants of a technical seminar.

The topics in the form range from machine learning, data science, and data engineering to AI agents, computer vision, automation, regulation, ethics, design, and security.

Format

A talk slot is 25 minutes: 20 for the talk and 5 for questions. A few double slots of 50 minutes, 45 for the talk and 5 for questions, are set aside for technical deep dives. A talk can have two speakers. The form asks for a title of at most 65 characters, an abstract of two to four paragraphs, a bio in the third person, and a photo. A recording of an earlier talk helps us, if you have one.

How we choose

We review proposals as they arrive and may contact shortlisted speakers for a short conversation about the content, format, and presentation. Some speakers may be announced before the call closes. We let you know once the program is set.

If you are willing to step in when a speaker cancels at short notice, you can say so in the form.

Questions go to program@gaia.fish.
