Anders Ynnerman

Anders Ynnerman is a renowned Swedish scientist specializing in scientific visualization, computer graphics, and visual AI. He currently serves as the Director of Strategic Research at the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation and is Executive Chairman of Sferical AI. With a strong background in supercomputing infrastructure, Ynnerman has served as director of the National Supercomputer Centre (NSC), contributing significantly to the development of Sweden’s computational research capabilities. In addition, he has played a pivotal role in the Wallenberg AI, Autonomous Systems and Software Program (WASP)—having previously served as Program Director and now acting as Chair of WASP, Sweden’s largest research program. Ynnerman is also the leader of the national WISDOME project for Science Communication. His research base is as a Professor of Scientific Visualization at Linköping University, where he leads the Visualization Center C. Through these leadership positions, Ynnerman continues to advance the field of digital science communication, supercomputing, and innovative research in Sweden and beyond.
