Jakob Andersson

Jakob co-founded GAIA in 2018 after leading the Machine Learning and Data Science (GBG) meetup, where 60-seat events started filling up in five minutes and it became clear that Gothenburg needed something bigger. He has served as chair since 2019 and has helped grow the conference to 1,250 attendees in 2026. By day, Jakob is Vice President of Engineering at Anaphora, where he leads the product and tech organisation. He holds an M.Sc. in Complex Adaptive Systems from Chalmers University of Technology.
