Artificial Intelligence in Wireless Backhaul Networks

We present how AI can be used to improve the performance and monitoring of wireless backhaul networks, a topic explored by Ericsson Research in Gothenburg for more than four years now. Our Advanced Microwave Insights tool for detection and classification of microwave link disturbances is introduced, and we also present our recent efforts to improve networks’ energy efficiency.
